Overview

The Datavideo DAC-8 is small and intelligent converter for converting HD & SD-SDI to HDMI.

Datavideo's DAC-8 converts from both HD-SDI and SD-SDI to HDMI enabling users to utilize traditional and affordable LCD and Plasma televisions as well as video projectors for broadcast video monitoring.

With the DAC-8 it is now easy to connect HDMI displays to SDI based equipment, for distances up to 90m approx. (300’) between the source and the display, SDI coaxial cable is less expensive, more rugged and easier to use than a comparable HDMI cable. Simply run a low cost SDI cable from your equipment to the projector or television screen, and let the Datavideo DAC-8 convert the signal into the widely used HDMI connector. The audio source for HDMI output can be selected between SDI Embedded or Analogue Input.

The DAC-8 can be used in combination with the Datavideo DAC-9 HDMI to HD/SD-SDI converter, providing system installers with a perfect and very affordable solution for distribution of HDMI over long distances, without compromising on quality.
