Overview

The KA-M790G is JVC's new multicore studio interface unit, designed for use with the GY-HM790E camcorder, it connects to the back of the camcorder and provides full studio/EFP capabilities.

It differs from the interface used with the GY-HD250 system in that all studio functions are now contained within a single unit attached to the camera body. The GY-HM790/KA-M790 system is more mobile for EFP applications.

The unit features a 26-pin RM connector which lets you use existing 26-pin control cables, while teleprompter and intercom connectors provide further studio functionality. Available functions include intercom controls, call switch/indicator, and a power source select switch. When connected to a remote control unit (sold separatly) power is supplied to the camera by the remote control unit and thus a seperate power supply is not needed for the camera.
